Why isn't there metadata in the AIFF files?

Last Updated: Mar 17, 2016 10:01AM EDT
Due to inconsistencies in the open-source library used to transcode AIFF files, we've found that embedding metadata during our encoding process causes more file errors than we're comfortable with. Because of this, we've decided to offer AIFF files without metadata. We apologize for the inconvenience. We recommend downloading FLAC files instead. If you want to play them in iTunes, take advantage of an open-source file converter (links below) for converting FLAC into AIFF while still preserving the metadata.
